What do they have in common? Well......how about they all fall into the "love of my life" category??? Hahaha

Ok...I know....the "love" is in singular form and generally, you don't create a category for it.....but it's just not possible for me to choose one over the other! If I'm talking about 3 people, then I'm probably guilty of committing polygamy or bigamy.... but since there aren't exactly any humans involved...I'll go ahead and proclaim loudly- "I LOVE 'EM ALL"!!!

FOOD. I just LOOOOOOOOVEEEEE eating. To say that I live to eat is almost an understatement. To me, eating is life itself!!! Hahaha....ok.....maybe I exaggerated a little....but I think you get the idea! I'm always on the look-out for the latest and most recommended restaurants/ eateries in town. I spend a considerable amount of time reading food reviews, and even more time trying out the recommendations! Before every holiday trip, I'll do extensive research on the best places to eat in the country/ city that I'm visiting. Yes, I'm THAT into food. My Seoul trip is almost 2 months away...but I've already had all the lunches, dinners and suppers for the 6 day trip planned out!!! Hahaha

MOVIES. I use to watch an average of 5 movies a week. It's down to 3 per week now...but that's only because I'm busier nowadays. I don't really have a favorite genre..... To me, there are only 2 types of movies- The ones that are good, well-made and enjoyable, and those that I'd rather not watch. Immersing myself in a good movie is like being transported to another dimension/reality. This temporal escape from my own reality is the closest to an out-of-body experience I've ever encountered!

PARROTS. Most people who know me know that I'm crazy about parrots (particularly Lovebirds and Eclectus Parrots). I got my first 2 Lovebirds in January last year, and now, 18 months later, my very small flock of 2 Lovebirds has grown into a big "family" of 13 birds! I'm currently the proud owner of 9 lovely Lovebirds, 3 beautiful Bugies and 1 loveable Green-naped Lorikeet! I've also been quite successful in breeding lovebirds. My first breeding pair (Blue Pumpkin and Geen Tea) has produced 10 babies to date, and my second breeding pair (Orange and Banana) are preparing for their second clutch!!!

I guess I should start blogging about these 3 "loves" of mine. Watch out for new entries on them!!! Coming your way!!!! Soon!! I promise!!!!

MULAN- What you see, what you don't, what you'd rather not(?)!

6 months of preparations, practices and rehearsals. Over 30 singers and musicians. Over 40 actors and dancers. 1committed team. 1 day. 2 shows. Tons of fun!!!

Hua Mulan- The Musical is indeed one of the most memorable projects I've done...The amount of time invested, the number of people I worked with and the number of problems encountered were unprecedented....but I'm really glad that in the end, everything came together pretty nicely! To sum it up, it was a bumpy BUT enjoyable journey....and here are some happy moments immortalised in "print". ENJOY!!

Mulan- The Musical.......

is quite a challenge for me. I gotta learn the songs, learn the lines, learn the martial arts moves, learn the dance....and get in shape for the not-so-modest costumes in a short period of time....hahahaha....hmmmmm..... Just what did I get myself into??!!

But then again, Wallace Ang ain't no quitter.....and is always up for a good challenge! Besides, rehearsals have been pretty fun so far, and the cast and director are easy to work with( better say that....just in case one of them chances upon this....kekeke)! So I guess I did make the right decison to join the production!

   最近翻开报纸, 看到的尽是嫩草们的"倩影"。大家争先恐后的爆料。。。。。。正义感十足的的挥着斩妖除魔的宝剑，誓要将恶人置于死地。
   原来，反败为胜就是这么一回事。再也捞不到油水了？被占了便宜却得不到好处？？没关系！来一招狠的！先发制人，将丑事公诸于众！！顺便。。。。将自己最“靓”的照片email到报馆去。。。“美美”的上报，成为家喻户晓的“女星”。
   恍然大悟。。。。。。要出位？好不好看无所谓，有没有才华不重要。。。。最要紧的是找到一头会犯错的名种老牛。
   老牛以为自己能左右逢源很“行”，却常常栽在身边看似无辜的嫩草手里。
   突发奇想。。。。。。如果我能当上嫩草也不错。。。。只是。。。。有谁这么笨要做我的老母牛啊？？？？！！？ Hahaha

大年初二到Esplanade的Waterfront表演, 唱了五首歌....观众的反应还不错! 除了在台上唱得很尽兴, 更开心的是有好几位中国朋友, 在观赏了我的演出后, 便购买了我的专辑! 真的要谢谢他们的支持!

Visited Pattaya for the first time in September. Not as bustling as Bangkok, but easier to get around than Phuket....A city with reasonably beautiful beaches.....No wonder it has always been a fairly popular holiday destination. What I like most about this place?? Hmmm..I'll have to say....the 99 baht buffets, the cheap Songtaew(baht bus) rides, the laid-back vibe and of course, my friend's beautiful villa!!

and I thought to myself, "Wow! This part was written for me!! Identical characteristics.....similiar experiences....What did you say his name was??" Haha I memorised the script...I analysed....I practised....There was no way I was going to give a lacklustre performance..... The day came...I went in, and gave a satisfactory performance......UNTIL I was asked to sing... Sing? Ha! I get paid to sing! Chicken feet....... and then I opened my mouth.... Die!! Shit!!! Was it because I didn't do vocal warm-up exercises? Was it because I was unprepared (I wasn't told I had to sing)? Was it...?? All I know is...I didnt sing well at all!! I even went flat in parts... It was a disaster!! I don't think anyone in the right mind would pay me a single cent to hear me sing, if that was the way I normally sound.... I'm angry...and fed-up with myself. Seriously, I don't mind it so much if I did my best and didn't get a role...because there was probably nothing else I could have done to change the director's/producer's mind. However, it does get to me when I don't get a role because I didn't perform as well as I'm capable of performing!! So ya, I'm damn pissed with myself! The verdict is not out yet! I'm keeping my fingers crossed! And if indeed, I did screw it up..... I shall punish myself by not drinking Big Gulp for 5 days!! Err...3 days...Ok la, 2 days!!! GGGrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr.....

Haha..... 这只是我客串演出的儿童剧中的一场戏!

虽然只是一场戏....却因为是"大"场面, 参与的人多....所以必许用3天的时间来拍!!

10 mins on screen.....3 days of hard work.....Kudos to the cast and crew!

Actually I had fun la.... Not only did I get to catch up with my good friend Aileng (one of the directors); I also spent waiting time playing with my pet lovebirds, as well as engage in silly games with the some of the cast and crew!!

The only complaint? DAMN FAR LO!!! Haha.....Filming was done in Joo Chiat CC.....which is like, at the other end of Singapore!! GGrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr

Glow in Pink!!

Who "glowed" most brilliantly?? Who put up the most outstanding performance??? Well...I certainly had a hard time deciding when I was one the judges of YEO's Miss Glow In Pink! Contest....

Do I enjoy being a judge?? Hmmm....NOT really.....The mere thought of being in the position to decide a person's success and/or failure is enough to give me a headache! Am I making the right decision? Am I being fair? Am I observant enough? Did I miss anything? Worrying too much?? Maybe....But then again...I've been a contestant myself on more than one occasion, and I know how important it is for all the hard work and dedication to recieve due recognition......

So ya....I much prefer to just perform on stage....and I had a blast singing 2 of the songs from my debut album on that day!! And I think I was glowing in pink too....or was I???? Hahaha

Disclaimer: I wasn't the only judge.....so if u didnt win....it MAY not be my fault!!! Hahaha....

Oopss.... Didnt realise it's been more than a month since I last posted anything here..... No wonder some people have been bugging me...haha Been quite busy lately..... With?? Hmm....well.... 1) Filming a new drama series (Earn money lo!!!!) 2) Planning the itinerary for my Korea trip (Yipee!!) 3) Working hard on my abs for this weekend's photoshoot (Siong ah!!) 4) Taking care of my new baby budgie (Yes, ANOTHER one!!) 5) Helping to organize a Bird Competition (?????) But I guess being busy is not exactly a PERFECT excuse ya?? Ok! I promise I'll update my blog more often from now on!!! Errr...... Apparently, it's me!! Haha... Or at least thats what the flyers and the ads in the papers "claim". My hokkien surname mixed with a misspelt hanyu pinyin name....geeee....talk about identity crisis!!! Wait a min!!!! I AM having an identity crisis... Why else would I be known as "972 DJ" when in actual fact, I left the station a good 8 mths ago?? haiiiiii..... I guess the logical explanation would be that I've not done anything significant after my stint with 972.... ANYWAY....... Ang Shen An (who really ought to be 洪圣安 or Hong Sheng An or Wallace Ang) will be performing at ASA Holidays Power-Packed! Travel Fair this Sun (1pm & 4.30pm, Suntech Exhibition Hall 401). I caught the bird bug

Was never a huge fan of birds.... Have never thought of keeping a bird..... Have never understood the joy of having a pet you can't take out of the cage to play..... Until I met Blue Pumpkin & Sweet Corn...... the 2 cute as a button peach-faced lovebirds that erased all my stereotypical perceptions of the feathered ones. Cuddly, adorable, beautiful, playful & intelligent little creatures that will bond with you over time..... Ya, I know... it's almost like I'm talking about some puppies, kittens or bunnies...haha

Sweet Corn passed away when he was about 7 weeks old..... And I'm still searching for a suitable mate for Blue Pumpkin. I've since gotten another male lovebird- Green Pea, a male Rainbow Lorikeet- WeWe (meant as a birthday gift for my dad) & a baby budgie.

Green Pea

I started hand-feeding Blue Pumpkin & Sweet Corn when they were under 4 weeks old.... I'm still hand-feeding WeWe, the 4 months old over-grown baby Rainbow Lorikeet..... A lil troublesome perhaps, but it's lotsa fun too!!

Hand-feeding WeWe I enjoy teaching them tricks, scratching their chins, letting them perch on my shoulders and most of all...... I enjoy watching them clown around!! WeWe clowning around Green Pea pearched on my nephew's shoulder Yes, I've caught the bird bug......or more accurately, I've caught the Parrot bug!!!

What does Christmas mean to you? What is Christmas all about?? Presents? Parties? Feasts of stuffed turkeys and log cakes? Jolly good time with family and friends? Sure, enjoy thyself on this very special day!!! But it is oh-so-easy to forget the real meaning of christmas amidst the shopping frenzy and countdown boozing.... Have I been guilty?? Hell yes (more of the shopping part cos I dun drink la, haha)!! But this year, I'm going to make a consciencious effort to remind myself of the beauty of giving.... Not so much of Prada and Gucci (not that I mind recieving, keke), but forgiveness, emphathy, kindness, compassion and encouragement to people around me. Let's all start embracing the true spirit of Christmas , from today... MERRY MERRY CHRISTMAS.... On the 30th of August......Phuket Airport was closed. 31st of August......It was re-opened. 1st of September......I set off to Phuket as planned. From disbelief to disappointment to overwhelming feeling of joy blended with a little fear of the uncertainties, the 3 days was an emotional roller-coaster ride! And just when I thought that luck was REALLY on my side.... I kena-ed the worst case of food-poisoning on the third day there! Let's see....I vomited more than 10 times.....had diarrhoea about 20 times......and had to get a jab at a local hospital!!!! GGggGGrrrRRrrrrr...... Nevertheless, there were still not-too-bad moments.....captured on "film".

Not because they are old (haha, actually not THAT old lah!), but because they’ve known you long enough to be able to recognize your every little nuance……err, ok……so I exaggerated….. But, but…… It’s definitely not far from the truth when I say that over the years we’ve established a fair degree of mutual understanding, as well as figured out the most comfortable ways to get along with each other!! But I've been unable to upload pictures to my blog.....and I have no freakin' idea why?!??! Hope I can figure out the reason very soon, and get things rolling here again!! For now......its bye bye Singapura, sunny island set in the sea and hello Phuket (hmm... also a sunny island set in the sea)!!! Was so worried that the trip will be cancelled due to the closure of Phuket Airport.....Thankfully it has been reopened and this highly anticipated trip is on again!! Optimistically, the next time you see a post here; it'll be accompanied by a picture or two...... Keeping my fingers crossed, very very crossed!!

My last day with Love972. Why?? What happened??? Whose decision was it???? Ha..... Honestly, the answers to the above questions are not important. Truth is, it was a fruitful journey, a great learning experience, and I guess that's enough.... How it ended? It really doesnt matter anymore. What new beginning it brings? THAT, I'm more concerned. A BIG THANK YOU to my ex-comrades-in-arms for making the past one year of my life easy!! A BIG THANK YOU to all my supporters for all the well, for lack of a better word...SUPPORT! Besides singing, I'll also be doing some acting and probably hosting......COME WHAT MAY!

拍照当天, 爸爸, 妹妹和妹夫得上班...... 所以除了我之外, 只有妈妈, 外甥, 外甥女和来作客的表弟(Actually he came to my place because he wanted to appear on the magazine la!! hahaha)入镜. 但是感觉上还是挺热闹的!

为了帮助四川大地震的灾民, 玖健招集了近40名本地歌手与艺人协力录制了慈善单曲《别松开手》。

除了我之外，其它参与的歌手/艺人还包括了董姿彦、潘盈、林倛玉、刘瑞聪、陈美光、美心、陈彼德、杨爱曼和黄碧燕等人。

价格10元的《别松开手》今天（28日）起在三巴旺音乐（Sembawang Music）出售，每张单曲扣除唱片行的行政费，剩余8元将捐给新加坡红十字会（Singapore Red Cross Society）帮助赈灾。

应该是从念中三的时侯开始，成为发片歌手便一直是我最大的梦想/目标。。。。

在发这张创作专辑前，其实也有过好些机会。但或许是缘分未到，每每到了最后关头，都因为某些意料之外的突发状况而不了了之。。。。

幸好！！幸好！！！！最终还是圆了这个梦！！！！！
